Alison Braithwaite from ITV’s ‘At Home with the Braithwaites’ may be
one of Amanda Redman’s most memorable characters, but she probably
needs more than the Shipping Forecast to get her life back onto an even
keel.
Amanda, on the other hand, finds it an immense source of
comfort. “There are hundreds of things about England I find most dear,
one of them being the ‘Shipping Forecast’ on Radio 4. It makes me feel
safe and at home!"
