The precursor to much of British comedy. Loved by many in the hard times following WW2. It's excentric sketches gave light relief the nation. A generation can not only remember the artists bu the characters they portrayed.

So much of todays comedy stems from this 50's radio show, so it has shaped the english sense of humour for 50 years. "Hes fallen in the water." "You rotten swine you, you deaded me."
