How annoying that the writer of this article has used the entirely American phrase 'Band Aid'. This seems ridiculous given that this website is meant to be 'a portrait of England'! Or perhaps it was a subtle nod to the fact that English culture is increasingly Americanised... Who can say.

You can get toast in much of europe - usually hard and dry throughout - not the sameas our soft centered stuff!

In the summer when i stay up late i usually average on about 12 pieces of toast a Day. I probably would starve without it. Considering im a teenager that will eat anything within my reach and doesnt take more than 3 minutes to make, It makes me very happy to know that it is as healthy as eating a buscuit or bagel and even has so many varieties and toppings!

they dont have toast in Norway!
i am english but live in norway they dont have toast here! it is the wrong kind of bread for toast.

i would like to agree with you about the toast. i live in norway and no one here eats toast because the bread is not up toast standards. thanks for standing to that awful man!!

Toast is delicious. Toast is good. Toast is quite excellent with cheese wiz, especially at 3 in the morning.
