Mrs Beeton is the great-grandmother of all our modern cookery writers. Where else would you find a recipe for "Useful Soup for Benevolent Purposes" and proper instructions on the duties of a butler?

I have a copy of Mrs Beetons Household Management (A complete Cookbook)containing 32 plates in colour and 700 illustrations. It says it's new addition (Ward and Lock & Co Limited in London and Melbourne). I use the book a lot, especially this time of year for jam making. It was my mother-in-law's book. Could you tell me if it's worth anything. Although I wouldn't part with it as it's part of the family.
