Let the Routemaster inspire you to get out and about.
- Collect bus tickets – ones from abroad can be quite different and help bring back holiday memories. Or start bus-spotting, either alone or join your local bus enthusiasts’ society.
- Go on a magical mystery tour. Jump on a bus you don’t usually travel on and see where you end up! Or be a bit more organised and plan a day trip on a bus.
- If you’re in London why not ride a real Routemaster on one of the Heritage Routes linking the city’s famous landmarks. It will only cost you the standard fare.
- Got some money to spend? Then you could buy your very own Routemaster for around £2,000 and convert it into something interesting (a café? a shop? a club?). If you have a standard driving licence, and are 21 and over, you can drive around and show off – but you’re only allowed to carry eight passengers!
