Commemorative stamps
The success of England’s rugby team in winning the world cup in 2003 was commemorated by Royal Mail in December of that year. The sheet of four stamps included St Georges’ Flags, a team circle, the World Cup being held aloft, and the team celebrating. The background was also made up of a St Georges’ Flag.
