Ghosts

Sir Arthur Conan Doyle was a follower of Spiritualism and firmly believed in fairies and ghosts, even helping investigate a possible haunting at a house in Dorset. He would have had a field day at the Tower of London, said to be the most haunted place in England.

Sherlock Holmes pub

London's Charing Cross is home to the Sherlock Holmes pub. It stands on the site of the Victorian Northumberland Hotel where, as Holmes fans know, Sir Henry Baskerville stayed when he came to London.

Doyle

Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, creator of Sherlock Holmes, was passionate about cricket. He was captain of Portsmouth cricket team and once bowled out cricket legend W G Grace!
