Design Museum
Design is a field in which Britain excels, and many of the world’s most influential designers' work is on show. Featuring Harry Beck's 1931 diagrammatic map of the London Underground, and the first Mini and Morris-Minor to come off the production line, this exhibition explores how design has modernised Britain in the last century and shaped our lives today.
From the modernist pioneers of the 1930s, to the ambitious plans for the London 2012 Olympics, it explores design’s impact on British daily life.
