The Tube Map

Comment on The Tube Map

Any, and all, statements that Beck's Tube map was original or a work of innovation are WRONG. The diagrammatic map had been evolving for thrity years when Beck drew his first map, and his first effort does not contain one single new cartographic device. Every single one had appeared on an earlier map.

Instantly recognised throughout the whole world, to many people it is the map of London - our capital city. A design classic in its own right.
