The shabby exterior of this museum hides 300 years of immigration and thousands of precious memories. French Huguenots, the Irish, Jews, Bengalis and Somalians have all found refuge within the rickety shell of this building. Unfortunately, it is currently too fragile to permanently welcome the public so isolated, scheduled open days are held so visitors can cross the museum’s dusty threshold. Special visits for groups can be arranged at other times, with around four weeks' notice.
