Re-founded by Henry VIII in 1546, from the remains of Wolsey’s Cardinal College, Christ Church has educated 13 British Prime Ministers, famous intellectuals such as philosopher John Locke and the founder of Methodism, John Wesley. It is, uniquely, both a university college and the Cathedral Church of the Diocese of Oxford.
