Croydon Airport Control Tower

Croydon Airport was Britain's premier airport before the war. It was here that air travel for the millions first took off (sorry!).

Croydon Airport was London?s main international gateway from the 1920s right through until the 50s. Closed in 1959 the airport control tower was, and still is, a major piece. The mast and many fittings have long since gone, but the main structure is intact and in a very good state of repair.
