'Little Britain' TV series

This spectacularly popular BBC comedy sketch show was the brainchild of arguably two of the funniest men in the whole of England, Matt Lucas and David Walliams. Originally started in Bristol, 'Little Britain' has created some of the most popular catch phrases used today, and the eclectic (and often poltically incorrect characters)with their unforgettable catchy quotes, have entrenched themselves within the national psyche - from young to old. Sayings such as "I'm a laaaddy", Yeah but, no but, yeah but"...and "I'm the only gay in the village" have brought nationwide mirth and crucially, 'Little Britain' perfectly illustrates the nation's oddball characters, our quirky sense of humour, plus our ability to laugh at ourselves. Comdey at its satirical best.
