Liverpool Waterfront

Comment on Liverpool Waterfront

One of the last sights of Europe for people from all over Europe going to the New World. Must be listed as an ICON. Second city of the Empire, paid more in taxes than the whole of the Midlands in Victorian times. Need I say more!

Comment on Liverpool Waterfront

the waterfront represents in physical terms a particular part of British history and commerce which is unrivalled - you can't help but be impressed by the scale of it, especially when seen from the other side of the river or from the ferry. It's a world heritage site and its status is well deserved
