If we worry overly about the Americanisation of our great English icons - like giving Peter Pan pointy ears when he is actually just a very special - and very English - boy - we'll have to give up on far too many! All the more reason to firmly reclaim Peter Pan as one of ours!

Not a good icon any more. Now Walt Disney and Hollywood have got hold of it and iven the characters american accents it goes round the world as an american product. Ditto Winnie the Pooh and even Alice in Wonderland. V sad.
