The Pint Pot

Is there any more classic symbol of pub culture than the traditional pint pot? With its intricate dimpled form and large strong handle (considered quite superfluous by many beer-drinkers), it now looks very old-fashioned. Because most drinkers these days prefer the simpler straight-sided glass, the traditional pint pot has become an endangered species. The last company to manufacture it went out of business in 2001. Not everybody has welcomed their demise though. Many admired its sturdiness, as well as the fact that the handle meant you didn't risk warming a cold beer with the heat of your hand. Pint pot or pint glass – which do you prefer?

It's emblematic of the pub (I'm surprised that doesn't feature in your top ten)

Your picture does not match the dimpled glass that is described in the text.

Amereicans do not use it, neither do Australians of even Germans. A pint for beer is something everyone recognizes...even if they are teetotal.
