The Clink Prison

It's rare to find a name that's become generic that relates to a specific product, company or site. The only other example beside the Clink and prison is Hoover for vacuum cleaners. This is an important saying and part of history.

The Clink Prison was England's oldest prisons with links to many major national and international events. A truly fascinating museum stands on the site today telling the story of the prison, inmates and crime and punishment. Highly recommended, not a blood guts and gore experience but truly factual in content. Museums like this are crucial to preserve and care for in order to protect Englands Heritage.
