The Ley Line

First identified by Alfred Watkins in the landscape of Herefordshire, (whether they exist in reality or not) ley lines were one of the seeds giving rise to the whole field of Earth Mysteries. The ley line has contributed to the growth in cultural importance of many of our ancient sites such as Glastonbury, and added an air of mystery to our history for many people. As with crop circles, there is something of an essentially English eccentricity to them.
