World War Two Pillboxes

During the build-up of the planned Nazi invasion of Great Britain in 1940, our chief line of defence was the pillbox. There were over 2000 of these constructed along defence lines and along the coast. Many have been demolished but more than half remain as a memorial to the defence of Britain. In Somerset alone, there are over 450 in reasonable condition.
