The Story & Characters

There are about a dozen stories we now use each year around which pantomimes are built. The ones that are used most often are Cinderella and Aladdin, the origins of which can be traced to many different parts of the world.

Slapstick

Physical, visual comedy is central to what makes us laugh at a panto. This clowning around needs no words, and the plain stupidity of a panto prank is a clear antidote to the sophisticated humour we like to think we appreciate.
