What's your favourite pop album of all time? "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" repeatedly comes at or near the top of many people's lists of the all-time greatest. Released during the Summer of Love in 1967, it was the Beatles' eighth LP, and saw the group lighting out into the psychedelic territory hinted at in their previous release, "Revolver".

We look back at reaction to the album at the time, and at the wider 1960s counter-culture, and make a careful inspection of that famous cover by Pop artist Peter Blake, with its crowd of famous faces.
