The National Park Authority are bound by pre-existing planning agreements in regard to ongoing quarrying. However, they are actively seeking injunctions against companies who break planning agreements, and they have recently won a high court injunction against one company who were deemed in breach of their consent.

The Peak District is the most beautiful part of England, without a coastline. However, it is in grave danger of being spoiled by the amount of quarrying that is being permitted by the National Park Authority who should be ashamed to permit this anount of devastation in this country's most special heritage.
